Salmonella Incidence Response Plan- A National Approach to Salmonella Outbreaks
The Salmonella Incidence Response Plan (SIRP) collates all information in a single document and provides a structured and coherent response framework to be followed when a farm had been implicated in a foodborne outbreak.
The Salmonella Incidence Response Plan (SIRP) collates all information in a single document and provides a structured and coherent response framework to be followed when a farm had been implicated in a foodborne outbreak. This response plan can be used by both government agencies and producers during an investigation so everyone has a greater clarity of responsibilities and requirements for all involved in an investigation. It is designed to improve the closure rate for investigations and identify on-farm risks that will enable implementation of appropriate corrective actions where required, reduce the likelihood of reoccurrence and allow informed decisions.
